man oh man, its almost my 21st. i would start celebrating tonight, but i have a math test tomrrow which i’m gonna have to spend a few hours studying (which is unfortunate cause we have a pan of brownies laying around, and another 20….very tempting) but yeah, its just applied calculus, and our teacher isn’t that rough, so its not going to be mega applied calc, just some fairly easy stuff, so i’m not too worried, just gotta look over homework and stuff.

oh man, i had my parents bring up the rest of my super nintendo games last night, cause i wanted to get super mario bros. and mario all stars. playing super mario world last night just made me think about how much nintendo has revolutionized video games. i mean, with each of their systems (besides the gamecube) all the nintendo consoles have been realesed with a mario game, and that games just sets a new standard for the industry.nintedno comes out with super mario brothers, super nintendo comes out with super mario world, and nintendo 64 has mario 64. it kinda makes me wonder how the mario for the gamecube is goign to shape up, because really, it has some hard acts to follow…

but yeah, it snowed again today, just lightly dusting, but considering that its averaging about 20 degrees with windchill, its been pretty fuckin’ cold. cold enough to keep me from running yesterday and today anyways. its kinda nice to sub in dancing for a half hour as opposed to running for a half hour though, cause the way i dance, doing it for a half hour (to jubgle) is a pretty damn good workout.

i had a concert last night though, and i don’t really know what to think about it. we played three pieces, and two of them were allright, and the mozart was just boring. i mean, i didn’t even really like teh rimsky-korsakoff piece we played case all it was was 2 theme’s playted over and over again, with a couple of instrument solos in between. i hardly played half the time cause it was just too fast and i couldn’t keep up (i guess, cause i don’t practice). but yeah, it was just a real crowd pleaser cause it kept building until it was a frenzy at the end, and it ends on a sudden note, so its real high energy stuff. but it just kinda seemed gimicky to me…i think we’ve played better pieces in the past. i really liked the bizet we played (a couple of pieces from his opera Carmen) and i thought all of the 5 suites we played from it were really good (except the les toreadors, which is really over played). but yeah, it went well, i actually managed to play parts i couldn’t previously, and keep along at parts when i would normaly just say fuck it and use my position in the back to allow me to slide, and not do anything, but yeah, its all good

so yeah, i’m gonna go play super mario brothers I with jakub, rad
